Memories about reading, writing, and speaking.

For as long as I remember growing up I had always had a fear of public speaking. I do not know why or when this fear came about but it affected me a lot growing up. When I got into my cosmetology program I grew out of that stage. Reading for me growing up was always easy for me. I loved reading when I was younger. I remember one Christmas getting the whole set of Junie B Jones books, I read all of them. However, when I got older I grew out of reading and didn’t read many books anymore. Writing was a love hate relationship for me. I loved to write about what I wanted to but sometimes found it hard to write what teachers needed me too. As I grew older I have became better with my writing skills but still don’t really enjoy it. Moreover, all three of these things have helped me become where I am today. Without being a decent writer, reader, and speaker I would not have got through cosmetology school nor be sitting at college right now.
